I can definitely appreciate that, but I also think there's no way you can get anything resembling a pretzel baking in a bread machine. But for many recipes, I totally get your point!

I don't really think your comment makes much sense. You can't make rolls, bites, pretzels, etc. ONLY using the bread machine. It can't separate the dough or bake like that. It's only designed to bake in loaves. You just use the bread machine to make the dough part for you on recipes like this, which still makes it way easier.

@@jackiek1772 I'm not asking to make Pretzel rolls or actual Pretzels in the Bread Maker, I'm asking to make a Pretzel Loaf or Pretzel-like Loaf in a bread maker. There is a difference there. In addition, my frustration was because this video was on the end of a string of similar videos, saying this is how to make Pretzel Loaf or Sourdough bread in a Bread Machine, then all of them resulting in NOT baking the bread in the machine itself.

Just by using two colors of yarn in a particular pattern. There was a Japanese book with instructions for all sorts of multi colored pom pom animals that inspired me. I'll see if I can figure out what it was (this was several years ago!).

It definitely sounds like your fudge is sugaring. Are you using the corn syrup? That's extremely helpful in avoiding sugaring, because it has a different structure than the sugar crystals. When I started cooking, I'd say that my sugar probably hadn't completely dissolved, actually. The more critical issue is using the two types of sugar structures, and being very careful to wash down any sugar crystals from the sides of the pan when you cook. Any crystals that form on the side of the pan can fall in and become a seed crystal, setting off a chain reaction of the formation of sugar crystals.

I'm so glad! My grandmother made me some when I was little, but died before she could teach me how. When I was a teenager, I spent an afternoon experimenting and inspecting her birds until I finally figured it out. I'm delighted to share the technique with others!

@@Tikkido where do you get the ribbon that tears nicely? For many years from the 1970s I used Hallmark until they discontinued it. I even wrote to the company a couple years ago, but they couldn’t help! I learned the technique from a Chinese student and made hundreds over the years. I now have a precious few yards of black ☹️ and brown 😞 ancient Hallmark ribbon. Would LOVE to get my hands on more, in nice colours. Thx
